Watch the 19th-century 'plastic clay' method in action at our historic Jackfield works.

Handmade in a World Heritage Site

Operating from the oldest surviving purpose-built tile factory in the world, our tiles are manufactured a mile downstream from the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution. Since 1872, we have combined original 19th-century machinery with a vast museum archive of plaster moulds to ensure every tile retains the faithful quality of the original.

Indistinguishable from 19th-Century Originals.

We faithfully reproduce tiles from the most renowned historic manufacturers, including Minton, Maw, and Malkin Edge. Our tiles are technically superior to the originals installed in the mid-1850s due to modern advancements in raw material selection.

Trusted By: The National Trust, English Heritage, and the U.S. Capitol.

Encaustic Mastery. Authentic hand-made tiles manufactured by combining colored clays in complex infill techniques.

Vitrified Durability. Fired for 24 hours to create a wear layer extending several millimeters deep, imparting over 100 years of wear for high-traffic environments.
