Tile Source Inc, was formed in 1997 by David Malkin and his
son, James Malkin who are descended from Clarke, Bumham and
Samuel Malkin, 18th century potters from Staffordshire England.
The family founded Edge Malkin & Co, Pottery Manufacturers
in the 1850's, and Malkin Edge and Co, in 1865. As Malkin Tiles
(Burslem) Ltd, it became a major influence in tile design and
innovation for many years. It merged in 1968 with H & R
Johnson Richards Tiles, then one of the world's largest and
most successful tile companies. David Malkin became head of
Public Relations for the new group. James Malkin has thirty
years of experience in the tile industry and is conversant in
almost every aspect of tile sales and promotions.
